"My Two Souths: Blending the Flavors of India into a Southern Kitchen"
Asha Gomez celebrates the concept of the melting pot in every part of her life. The JBF Chefs Boot Camp alum and 2013 Best New Restaurant Award semifinalist weaves together the powerful flavors of Southern India and the American South at her Atlanta hot spot Spice to Table, a mouthwatering collision of cultures also highlighted in her new cookbook, My Two Souths.
Tickets to events held at the James Beard House cover the cost of food and a unique dining experience. Dinners are prepared by culinary masters from all regions of the United States and around the world. All alcoholic beverages are provided on a complimentary basis and are not included in the ticket price.
Beard on Books is an ongoing monthly literary series featuring readings and discussions with some of the food world’s most celebrated authors. Acqua Panna and S.Pellegrino waters, Lavazza Coffee, tea from Tea Forté, and Valrhona Chocolate will be served. Refreshments will be provided by Sarabeth's. Guests are also welcome to bring a brown-bag lunch. Suggested donation $20. Free admission for students.
