Spotlight on Franciacorta > An award-winning fine sparkling wine, hand-crafted in the classic method, produced in Lombardy in a breathtaking wine region one hour from Milan. Since 1995, the sparkling wines of this region have held DOCG status—the highest classification for Italian wines.
Both beginners and enthusiasts welcome!
Alexandra Horne: In her third year at Murray’s Cheese, Alexandra has done everything from back of house at their Cheese Bar to help with the opening of a brand new private space, The Leroy Room. Through it all, her passion and knowledge regarding cheese, charcuterie, and artisanal accompaniments has grown exponentially, and she is always excited to lead a new group through interesting and unique products they’ve never before tasted.
May Matta-Aliah: May has spent the last 18 years of her life spreading spirit knowledge to industry professionals as well as wine and spirits appreciators. She represents the regions of Armagnac from France and Franciacorta sparkling wine from Italy as their educational ambassador.
