Even though women have been captains of the kitchen far longer than men, too many are forgotten by history or glossed over in favor of their male counterparts. After years of watching this dynamic play out in his own career, chef Tu David Phu (and a cadre of fellow Bay Area chefs) will journey to the Beard House to curate a storytelling and dining experience celebrating the generational wisdom and innovative techniques passed down by kitchen matriarchs from all over the world.
